Half and full, or maybe just half full.
At least four Creek Road Runners recently poured their all into the spring’s longer, marquis running events—the Caesar Rodney Half Marathon and the Boston Marathon.

On April 3rd, three men from our group ran the Caesar Rodney Half Marathon. At age 37, CRR Barret Michalec led the way with an impressive 1:29:10, finishing 27th overall out of 612 competitors, while 65-yr.-old CRR Doug Repetti (65-69) ran a 1:50:26, and 63-yr.-old CRR Jon Fletcher finished in 2:06:03 (2:04:57 chip).
At this past Monday’s Boston Marathon, CRR Christina Parsons set a personal best at Boston by 5 minutes and 36 seconds, coming down Boylston Street and across the finish line in 3:48:56.
Congratulations to each of you!

Three Creek Road Runners competed in last Sunday’s Philadelphia Marathon. Leading the way for our group was CRR Andrew Weber, who was aiming for three hours but “hit the wall” and faded to a still-respectable 3:31:13.
CRR Brian Bahnson completed the course in 3:47:02, and CRR Shawn Alexander finished in 4:26:27. CRR Michelle Parent did the Philly Half Marathon, finishing in 2:5:54.
The annual Trail Triple Crown races will start and finish at White Clay Creek State Park in Newark this Saturday, April 25, as listed below.

In other weekend news, CRR Dan Simmons placed 4th among the 65-69s in the Broad Street Run in Philadelphia yesterday, coming in with a very respectable 1:14:06. Simmons finished 2041st overall out of nearly 40,000 runners. Well done.
