Sam Parsons, a redshirt junior at North Carolina State and son of CRR George Parsons and CRR Christina Parsons, qualified late last month for the nationals with an 11th place East Region finish in the 10,000m run in Jacksonville, Fla., in a stellar 30:05. He will be one of the 24 competitors in Eugene, Ore., on the hallowed Hayward Field track in the 10K later this week.
