In non-running news, the Amish Country Bike Tour saw four Creek Road Runners on bicycles. CRR Becky George and CRR Sue Barton did the 100-mile course. George averaged over 19mph! CRR Mark Deshon and CRR Skip White teamed up again, averaging just under 18mph over the 50-mile route.
CRR Dan Simmons could’t quite pull off his second double win in six days. However, he did win his age group (65-69) in the 10K with a 44:17. Simmons took second in his age group in the 5K by running a 22:41. Time for a well-earned rest…. Oh, yeah, there’s a cross-country race on Saturday. Simmons will undoubtedly be out there competing once again.
