Since 1999, Creek Road Runners have been gathering on Dec. 31 at Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area to “Wring Out the Old, Ring In the New,” celebrating the end of the year and the promise of a new one while enjoying camaraderie along a 7.5km (4.67-mi.) trail loop (course map).
Primarily a social run, this event began with a mere five participants in 1999—the self-proclaimed “Millennium Men” (Mark Deshon, Vic Kaliakin, Bob Bennett, Skip White, and Charlie Riordan). The event has grown over the years, and we fully expect a record turnout for this all-weather event, which begins at 9 a.m. on Dec. 31.
This is the final annual “Wring Out the Old, Ring in the New” trail run that is being organized by CRR Mark Deshon. This year there is a nominal $8.00 registration fee (per person), which includes a special commemorative T-shirt. If you’re interested in sending 2018 out with a bang and ushering in the new year with other Creek Road Runners, don’t miss this event—register now!
Note: There is a $5 per out-of-state car fee for parking (Black Bridge Road lot) at the Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area.
