University of Delaware’s Unidel Professor of Physics and Astronomy and longtime CRR Henry Glyde was recently named a fellow of the Neutron Scattering Society of America for his research, which focuses on neutron scattering, low-temperature physics, and quantum fluids and solids. See story.
A native of Canada, Glyde has been running in this area for more than three decades. CRR Mark Deshon recalls meeting Glyde in the early 1980s. “He would run intervals with CRR Bob Bennett and me on the Newark High track, and neither of us could keep up with him for the entire workout. His last name accurately describes how easily he ran on the track.”
